Sony VENICE 2 is the perfect cinema camera for the cinematographer. Like the original VENICE, users can expect high fidelity imaging, remarkable dynamic range, and cinematic color rendition, but now with an 8K sensor that can capture images up to a maximum resolution of 8640 x 5760. The VENICE 2 also features dual AXSM card slots, letting users internally record in Sony's high quality 16-bit X-OCN RAW, no extra hardware necessary.  A unique feature of Sony's VENICE design is that users can also easily swap between sensor blocks, choosing either the VENICE 2's 8K or the original VENICE's 6K (6048 x 4032) to suit their project's needs. Both offer powerful oversampling for incredible 4K images and 36 x 24‑mm full-frame image sensors, designed specifically for the demands and performance of high-end cinematography. 

VENICE 2 users can also take advantage of our RIALTO 2 8K Extension System, which allows cinematographers to detach the sensor block from the main camera body for situations where you need to place the camera in tight spaces or when weight savings is key.
