tls Canon Rangefinders

Rehoused by TLS from the original Canon Rangefinder stills glass, these vintage Japanese primes are some of the most sought-after lenses in the cinema industry. The set also includes the legendary "Dream Lens", a f/0.95 50mm - quite like our TLS Leica Noctilux - which produces surreal imagery that lives up to its name. Until the advent of the LPL mount from ARRI, it was impossible to rehouse the Canon Rangefinders for use on cinema cameras while still retaining the visual character of the originals, due to the physical and optical limitations of PL-mount lenses. But thanks to the design team at TLS, cinematographers can now capture images on Full Frame cinema cameras with all of the unique characteristics of the legendary Rangefinders. Users will quickly notice their expressive textured bokeh, distinct amber colored flares, and flattering portrait-like focus fall-off.

These will make an exciting new addition to our expansive collection of vintage glass, perfectly complementing other offerings like the Canon K35's, Canon FD's, Mamiya645's, Super Baltars, and Leica R's.
