New amongst our suite of motion control gadgets is the handheld remote unit for the Mark Roberts Motion Control turntable. Previously, this turntable needed to be controlled by the MRMC Flair software, operated from a specialized PC by a trained motion control operator. Now, via a simple handheld remote, you can control the speed and rotation direction of the turntable, no computer needed.
This device is easy to set up and tear down, and equally straightforward to operate. The turntable’s stainless steel platter measures 24” across and can support up to 200kg (~440 lbs), which makes it suitable to rotate anything from human beings to large appliances. At maximum speed the turntable is capable of rotating 90° per second.
For additional fine-tune control there is a knob for adjusting the maximum speed threshold; as you lower this value, the scale of the speed knob adjusts accordingly.
